DUNGEON DRAW: FRAME AND FORTUNE is a fantasy-themed art gallery and show by CSULB's Fall 2024 graduating animation and pre-production seniors - showcasing their amazing art, celebrating their achievements, and hosting the WORLD PREMIERE of their animated thesis films! We invite you all to join our quest to CELEBRATE THE ARTS!
Opening Reception will be on December 8th, from 5:00 - 7:00, located at California State University Long Beach's Gatov and Merlino Galleries. At 7:00, we will be moving to the Cinematic Arts Building for the world premiere of the senior films!The gallery will be open through December 12th. Normal gallery hours are 12:00 - 5:00. Drop on by!Parking for opening reception will be located at Lots E8 and E7 with purchase of a daily parking pass. During the week, metered parking is available at Lot G15.
SIR SQUASHINSTRETCHOnce the greatest knight in all of animation, Sir Squashinstretch sadly fell by the wayside as animation techniques grew more advanced and intricate. One day, however, a lady in a river gifted him THE SWORD AND SHIELD OF WACOMION! With this newfound weaponry, Squashinstretch is ready to take on whatever foe he may face!
BART, THE BOARD WIZARDBartholomew was once a respected and powerful sorcerer. One day, however, a spell by a jealous witch cursed Bartholomew to turn into a storyboard! Trapped in a hellish state of perpetual sketchiness, Bart slowly lost his mind...(Hey, you try storyboarding for more than a few minutes. You'd go crazy too!)
ZOSHEAR, THE PALLETTEDINZoshear is a man of few words, but when you're as powerful as he is, words aren't needed. Throughout the kingdom, Zoshear is legendary for his intricate techniques and remarkable preparation. Wielding the mythical SWORD OF VISDEV and SHIELD OF PRE-PRODUCTION, no project is too ambitious for The Pallettedin.
GOB, THE ART THIEF GOBLINThis guy sucks.Gob represents all that is wrong with the animation industry. He loves stealing art and taking credit for it - in reality, he can't even draw a stick figure! Artistic fulfillment means nothing to Gob - all he cares about is clout and money.When Sir Squashinstretch, Bart, and Zoshear learn about Gob stealing art throughout the kingdom, the three decide to end his mildly-annoying rein of terror once and for all!
